I was invited to do an artist residency at Datz Museum of Art in the month of July and participate in a solo exhibition, “Fieldnotes: An Island of Symbiosis” at Datz Museum of Art’s new space, FRAME. I offered a zinemaking workshop for adults and children on two seperate days.

I attended Paris Photo with my publisher, Datz Press, who was selected as an exhibitor. Million Years was on display during the fair.
Late May – Early July, 2021
I did an artist residency at Datz Museum of Art during the pandemic and taught two workshops: Zinemaking and Photobook dummymaking. Books I made at the end of my residency, Fieldnotes I and II were selected for the exhibition, “Theatrum Botanicum” as part of Gwangju Design Biennale in Gwangju, South Korea.

Two of my books, Million Years and Mauna were included in the 2020 edition of Fotobokfestival in Oslo, Norway. I was also invited to discuss my work during two-day virtual symposium (mine was on October 17).
January 2019
The Special Collections division at the University of Arizona Library acquired two of my artist’s books: Encounters and Million Years.
The Poetry Center at the University of Arizona acquired Million Years book for its collection.
I attended College Book Art Association’s biannual conference (January 4-5) in Tucson, Arizona. As part of the program, I visited the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona.

ICP Spotlight Award Silent Auction

I donated a print for ICP (International Center of Photography) school’s fundraising event, Spotlight Award. Total sales went to benefit ICP School’s scholarship programs and ICP Museum’s exhibition programs.
ICP Spotlight is an annual luncheon honoring women seminal in visual arts, using photography or film. This year, ICP presents the Spotlight Award to Shirin Neshat, an innovator using image to explore gender, society, politics and identity in the Arab world. Shirin will discuss her work with Anne Pasternak, president of the global public art nonprofit Creative Time.

Halsnøy Kloster’s Artist Residency Program
Date: May 3-22, 2013
I am participating in the Halsnøy Kloster’s Artist Residency Program in Halsnøy, Norway. The residency takes place at a 150-year old farm house converted into Sunnhordland Museum, a folk museum that was built with the ruins of the Monastery of Halsnøy. This year marks the Monastery’s 850-year jubilee anniversary. There will be an exhibition next year with works produced by 6 residency artists from this year.

ICP Spotlight Award Silent Auction

I donated a print for ICP (International Center of Photography) school’s fundraising event, Spotlight Award. Total sales went to benefit ICP School’s scholarship programs and ICP Museum’s exhibition programs.
ICP Spotlight is an annual luncheon honoring women seminal in visual arts, using photography or film. This year, ICP presents the Spotlight Award to Shirin Neshat, an innovator using image to explore gender, society, politics and identity in the Arab world. Shirin will discuss her work with Anne Pasternak, president of the global public art nonprofit Creative Time.

Halsnøy Kloster’s Artist Residency Program
Date: May 3-22, 2013
I am participating in the Halsnøy Kloster’s Artist Residency Program in Halsnøy, Norway. The residency takes place at a 150-year old farm house converted into Sunnhordland Museum, a folk museum that was built with the ruins of the Monastery of Halsnøy. This year marks the Monastery’s 850-year jubilee anniversary. There will be an exhibition next year with works produced by 6 residency artists from this year.

Waterfall Gallery Silent Auction

Waterfall Gallery of Waterfall Mansion in New York City is hosting silent auction for the artists exhibiting at the Waterfall Gallery. Five large prints and three small prints from the Encounters series are in exhibition for the occasion and several months after the event.

Trinity Episcopal Church (more than 100 years old) is hosting “Hopes,” a classical music concert and art exhibition to benefit childrens with incarcerated parents. I donated four small prints for the event.

Sunnhordland Museum Artists in Residence, Halsnøy Kloster, Norway
After portfolio reviews in Arles and two rounds of selection process, I was invited to the Sunnhordland Museum’s Artist Residency at the Monastery of Halsnøy, Norway, in 2013, which marks the Monastery’s 850 years jubilee.
